Hello there and welcome to Inkglow, a permanent makeup studio based in Durham specialising in lip blush tattooing.
I'm Bluma, the owner of Inkglow. I started Inkglow from a genuine passion for helping people feel confident through natural looking enhancements. I've always believed that cosmetic treatments should enhance your natural features and create results that look effortless, balanced and uniquely you.

The focus is on timeless, natural looking results rather than following beauty trends. For this reason I do not offer treatments such as ombre lips or unnatural looking colours. From previous experience earlier in my career I know that these trends don't age well. I base my lip blush treatments around colour theory and with the healed result in mind.
Whilst your initial result is bright (as it's a fresh tattoo) your healed result will fade by up to 50% lighter.
Every treatment is bespoke and tailored to the individual, with a focus on subtle, flattering results that help my clients feel their best.
Since opening in February 2026, Inkglow has welcomed clients from across Durham and the North East for bespoke permanent makeup treatments.
Inkglow is based at the First Floor Beauty Rooms in Bearpark, three miles outside of Durham city centre.
Inkglow operates on an appointment only basis, allowing every client to receive the time, attention and personalised care they deserve. There is no one-in, one-out system here, appointments are scheduled with dedicated time built in for consultations, treatment planning and aftercare advice.
This relaxed approach ensures you never feel rushed and allows me to focus entirely on delivering the highest standard of treatment and client experience from start to finish.
What is lip blush?
Lip blush is a semi permanent cosmetic tattoo designed to enhance your lips with soft, beautiful colour and definition. Unlike traditional tattooing, an ultra fine needle is used to implant pigment gentley into the upper layers of the skin and generally lasts 2-3 years, although this can depend on a number of factors including your immune system, the colour chosen, sun exposure, lifestyle and skincare products.
Lip blush is usually two sessions, your initial session and then a touch up session at around 6-8 weeks later to refine the healed result and ensure the colour has settled evenly. Your 6-8 week touch up session is included in the initial price.
Over time, pigment gradually softens and fades rather than changing colour. Many clients choose to have a colour boost every 12-24 months to keep their lips looking fresh and vibrant, but this is entirely optional.
